Real evidence that the company has
succeeded in putting its business concept into practice came in June 1997.
In 1994, the aircraft manufacturer, Boeing, currently with 200,000 employees, placed its
first order with Modig.
Since then, orders have been coming on a regular basis. At the end of the first half of
1997, the large-scale, multi-national Boeing chose Modig Machine Tool AB as its supplier
of the year, and on June 18, 1997 Modig Machine Tool AB was the first ever non-American
company to receive Boeing´s "Outstanding performance award"
Advanced technology with the possibility to machine in all materials and
proven professional expertise has created great confidence in Modig Machine Tool AB as a
subcontractor.
The combination of short delivery times, high delivery reliability and a genuine
commitment to obtaining the best possible results has meant that an increasing number of a
large-scale companies are choosing us as a supplier.
Although our experience of producing small volumes of goods at really competitive prices
has contributed to our success, high-volume manufacturing is of course no stranger to us.
Thanks to our know-how in constructing advanced machining machines which are characterised
by "high speed machining and high precision", there is a large and unique source
of knowledge within the company as regards all the relevant areas.
Besides the actual manufacturing of parts, we can also offer complete machine construction
services where we even assist with design work.
As an example, we can mention that the rigorously safety-minded nuclear power industry and
